Rose Gold Wire Frame Glasses

£4.99 HERE
Okay, so I may not be cool enough to sport these glasses but they are 100% on trend right now along with flawless makeup and faux freckles. I personally feel the rose gold metal makes the glasses much more feminine and wearable and at £4.99 they are worth snapping up if you are wanting to try out the trend.

Suede Embroidered Ankle Boots
£25.09 HERE
If I had the bank balance to snap up all the stunning pairs of embroidered ankle boots in Topshop right now then I would. But at £70+ a pair I doubt that will be happening anytime soon! However I have found some pretty lovely boots that are certainly a nod to the trend for a fraction of the price. I can imagine these looking amazing with thick black tights or even rolled up jeans. For the price these are pretty amazing! I just love the gold floral embroidery detail to the heel.

Rose Gold Set of 5 Makeup Brushes
£5.19 HERE
Rose gold brushes are still on trend and I think will be for years to come as copper ferrules just look stunning. I started off loving copper brushes with the Bold Metal brushes from Real Techniques but at £15+ each they aren't cheap. But thankfully I came across a stunning 5 piece set for only £5 and can hand on heart say they work a dream! These not only look amazing on your dressing table but they are so soft and do the job perfectly. You can find my full review plus my own images of these exact brushes here

Nap Queen Slogan Sweater
£4.43 HERE
Slogan sweater are literally everywhere right now and I for one love them. Okay, some may be a little too 'young'/cool for me but this 'Nap Queen' slogan sweater I can totally relate to, especially come winter! It comes in both grey and black in sizes XS-XL but as Asian sizes do run small I always recommend getting a size up.

Rainbow Highlighter Powder
£2.29 HERE
Highlighter in general is still having a moment and all I've been seeing on Instagram lately is the most glowing cheekbones. But now is also about rainbow highlight! I've just ordered this exact rainbow highlight to try it out and though I'm a little sceptical it will give me that gradient rainbow glow I'm sure I can make it work. Excited to give this a go now for the low price!

Mini Velvet Backpack
£6.39 HERE
In the past few months I've seen more and more mini velvet backpacks around and I kinda' like them. Topshop currently have a very similar range of crushed velvet mini backpacks in for £26.00 but if you are on a budget then this little beauty is perfect. I personally love the red velvet option but it also comes in black, grey and purple in the listing.

Sew-on Embroidered Patches
99p each HERE
Lastly I had to include some cute sew-on patches that are everywhere right now. These took forever to find on eBay but I wanted to find some that looked good but for a low price and I did! I can't get enough of these and there are so many more in the listing! I'm very tempted to pick up a few of the love heart cactus or pineapple patches (I can't decide!) to sew onto a light knit grey jumper I have, possibly on the elbows!

I hope you've found a few lovely bargains here. I know I've enabled myself!

Burnt Orange Pashmina Scarf
Shade - Camel £1.99 HERE
With autumnal weather fast approaching I'm excited for scarfs to be part of my wardrobe again. To throw on with any outfit I love these ultra cheap pashminas that come is a huge range of shades. Also UK delivery with this item!

Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Hand Sanitizer
£2.95 HERE
As a little seasonal treat, I absolutely love these B&BW Pocket Bacs that come in the most amazing scent. These do sell out incredibly fast on eBay however Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte is the scent that got my attention the most! Ideal for carrying in your handbag to sanitise the hands and with a yummy scent.

Village Candle Autumn Comfort
£9.99 HERE
I discovered Village Candle a few years ago now and prefer them over Yankee Candle as they are more true to scent and cheaper! I swear by Brownie Delight here as my go-to a/w scent but this double-wick Autumn Comfort candle sounds amazing with its mix of pumpkin, nutmeg, sandalwood and maple. Ideal for the upcoming colder months.

Artificial Autumn Leaves (blog props!)
99p HERE
If you're a blogger then your thoughts may be turning to what to blog about come Autumn and if you love blog photography what blog props you will be using! These simple artificial leaves are ideal for backgrounds... and you receive 100 for only 99p which means you can also get crafty with them and create some leaf garlands on twine or just scatter them round for a nice autumn vibe. I have some of these and will be using them come October time.

Red Fox Phone Case
99p HERE
Isn't this such a cute phone case? Ok, I will admit it took some time to find a non-scary fox case but I did it and this is perfectly autumnal. You can find lots of other animal cases in this same style in the listing but this is my favourite for Autumn. Available for iPhone 5, 5s, 6 and 6 plus.

Hocus Pocus DVD
£3.73 HERE
For me it seriously wouldn't be autumn without watching Hocus Pocus! This is such a nostalgic film for me and one I make sure to watch when the weather turns colder and Halloween is nearing. Worth picking up if you haven't watch it since childhood as it's so cheap.

Cute Fawn & Owl Cushion Covers
£2.59 each HERE
Seriously how sweet are these two cushion covers?! I really don't know which one I love the most... okay, I'm thinking it's the owl cover, I just want him to be mine so he can have a name! As a lover of autumn, I love nothing more than to change up the decor in my living room with a few inexpensive items - a few new candles, a leaf garland and autumnal cushions for on the sofa. With the natural material and cute watercolour illustrations, these will look perfectly autumnal on any sofa or bed.

Copper Moscow Mule Mug
 £7.89 HERE
Last year I picked up my first ever Moscow mule mug simply because it was copper but I really didn't realise how special mule mugs were. Other than it's aesthetically pleasing exterior this clever mug makes cold drinks impressively cold and keeps hot drinks hotter for longer. I also find it makes fizzy drinks even fizzier! This mug would make a lovely present but also a lovely gift to yourself especially if you're a tea or coffee drinker.

Jam Jar Hanging Fairy Lights
£12.99 HERE
I'm forever eyeing up cute fairy lights on eBay but this may just be my favourite find yet! I mean who wouldn't want hanging jam jar lights! Just super cosy and perfect for autumn. I'm VERY tempted to get these.

Round Cross-Body Bag with Tassel
£7.47 HERE
Lastly, a simple crossbody bag that would go with most autumn-y outfits. I love the woven detail and the tassel and it comes in quite a few colours if brown isn't your thing. In keeping with the round bag theme, I also adore this clock bag here that's a perfect dupe of a Kate Spade bag but without the $300 price tag?!

I can't wait for Autumn to arrive!

Hope you've found some lovely bargain buys here.

Ebay-finds-beauty-haul

August has been another good month for eBay finds! I've picked up some amazing brush set which I blogged about separately here, along with quite a few accessories and some beauty treats... just because!

Below are all my eBay buys for the month which I'm so pleased with, well except for one product that I'm so sad is a totally awful product but looks amazing... can you guess which one it is?!

ebay-accessories-cheap

Rose Gold Mirrored Sunglasses
£2.39 HERE
First up I thought I'd start with accessories as I picked up some gems this month. My favourite accessory has to be these rose gold metallic sunnies that I've featured in a few eBay Bargains posts. Not only have I seen these exact sunglasses being sold for £10-15 online but they always seem to sell out quickly, so I was pretty pleased with my find... and I'm sure you'll agree that they do look more expensive and similar to Quay sunglassess! Due to the rose gold these really brighten up the face and the shape is actually so flattering. As for the quality I'm really impressed for the price and they don't feel cheap or like they will break. As I love these so much I've ordered the black frames with red/orange mirrored lenses - I can't wait for them to arrive now!

Dreamcatcher Necklace
99p HERE
When it comes to jewellery I'm all about cheap but pretty pieces, I don't wear a watch or any rings on a daily basis, so I like to impulse buys budget items that catch my eye. Which is why I picked up this lovely dream catcher pendant. At 99p you never know what the quality will be before it arrives but I'm certainly happy this time as I love the matte gold finish to the main part and then the little etched feathers that nicely catch the light. I'm also really impressed with the detail especially as it's quite a dainty piece (around 10p size) and I'm certain no one would ever guess it was such a cheap item. I've already worn the necklace a few times but I can see myself wearing it quite a bit come Autumn/Winter.

Double Layer Tassel Choker
 99p HERE
Another necklace I impulsively bought due to the low price and again I'm more than pleased with the quality and how it looks. Again lots of detail to the necklace for only 99p, such as the faux suede tassel on a black metal chain and the little gold bar to the choker. This is comfortable to wear and fastens with a standard necklace clip that can be adjusted to size. I think I will buying a few more chokers from eBay now!

Making Magic Happen Tee
Style #11 £3.71 HERE
Not really an accessory but another buy I took a risk with the quality and if it would actually fit or not! But thankfully both turned out better than I expected with the t-shirt actually being really good quality with a nice stretch to it and it fitting well, though I did go for an XL and I'm a UK 12-14! This is a slogan tee I've seen a few U.S fashion bloggers wearing in the past year and with it being grey and with a font I actually like I couldn't not pick it up. Very pleased I decided to buy this as I do normally avoid fitted items from China as their sizing can be off.

ebay-makeup-brushes-rose-gold

Black Oval Foundation Brush
£1.69 HERE
Did I need another oval brush? Probably not. But oh well, under £2 is a bargain and I do love me some oval brushes. For the price this is a surprisingly dense brush with a good domed top. Yes, the plastic does feel cheap but you would have to press the brush against your face very hard for it to ever snap! However the ultra soft non-shedding bristles really do make up for the cheap plastic handle. For me this will be a good back-up brush for when my other foundation brushes are dirty.

Rose Gold Fluffy Eyeshadow Blending Brush
99p HERE
I already own this specific brush (from buying this 5 piece set) but as I loved it so much I had to get another. I love when I come across fluffy blending brushes that just works and this is one of them. I love everything about this brush, especially the rose gold finish and the indent to the handle of where to hold it. I really can't get over that this brush cost me only 99p - amazing!

Ebay-gel-polish-cheap

Translucent Flower Lipstick
£2.65 HERE
Right now you are probably ooo'ing at how amazing this lipstick looks. I know I certainly was when it arrived and it is a thing of beauty.... however it also my fail buy of the month. I've purchased a similar clear lipstick like this before and it turned out to have an awful taste/scent to it, but I thought it was a just a one-off; sadly not! On the lips this has an awful taste that's slightly musty smelling and for that reason I just can't wear it. This does happen from time to time with items and I'll know now never to purchase lipsticks from China based sellers on eBay again. Side note - I will be requesting a refund for this item and from past experiences it should be accepted as sellers don't want to risk their star rating.

Elite 99 Matt Top Coat & Gel Polish in Blue 90518
£2.99 HERE | £2.99 HERE
Recently I've been getting into gel nails thanks to the Sensationail Polish to Gel Kit (see my review here) so I thought I'd try out a few cheap gel polishes from eBay to see how they fair. I've yet to try either of these polishes out so I can't give a mini review but I'm looking forward to trying out the matte top coat especially and the gorgeous vivid blue on my toes.

ebay-phone-covers-cheap

Rose Gold Crystal Transparent Case
 99p HERE
My phone case obsession continues! Yes, I picked up yet more phone cases this month and I'm not sorry about it. First up I have this gorgeous 3D transparent rose gold cover that's currently on my phone and looks amazing. I imagine it would look even more amazing if you have the iPhone 6 or 6 plus with the rose gold back but on my 5s I'm still really happy with how it looks. It also feels really nice and is made from a sturdy silicone that fits the phone perfectly. Yes, yes, yes, to this buy!

Multi Glitter Phone Case
£2.26 HERE
I also decided I needed a Kate Spade style glitter phone case in my life so I picked up this dazzling pink multi glitter beauty! I have a feeling this may pick up fluff from clothing etc when the glitter catches on things but I really don't care because it's so pretty and exactly what I was looking for. This also comes in a range of different colours, all of which look great and it's a hard case.

So many items this month that I'm more than pleased with!

Hope you've enjoyed this month's eBay haul - you can find last month's haul here.

How cheap Bath & Body Works candles are (currently $12.50!) but the fact they aren't available in the UK.

Related problem - U.S custom charges (enough said.)

Late night nail painting that results in duvet print nails the next morning.

Finding the perfect marble slab that would be oh so perfect as a blog prop and then realising it weighs 4 stone.

The price of Zoeva brushes (though I have just found a 12 piece eyeshadow dupe set for only £3.28 on eBay & you can find my review of the face dupe set here!

When a matte liquid lipstick swatch just won't wash off your arm/hand.

The fact you still get asked to explain what a blog is!!!

And then when you explain you get asked either - 1. So, how much do you make from that then? 2. Do you know Zoella? Just face palm.

When you realise that the words 'dupe' and 'swatch' aren't used on any media platform outside of the internet and your friends only know these terms because you're a blogger!

Being excited for Autumn  just because, autumnal themed posts and cute blog props, obvs.

But the woes of bad lighting for blog photography come October, arghh!

summer-reading-list-2-16

As I've mentioned before I love to read when it's comes to Summer, especially when on holiday and with a holiday booked for 2 months time I'm getting excited about which books I will be taking with me

Below are 4 new releases in a mix of genres that I'm eager to submerge myself into

the-woman-in-cabin-10-book
The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
£5.00 (hardcover) Amazon here
Having heard many good things about Ruth Ware's In a Dark Dark Wood I was instantly intrigued by her latest novel; The Woman in Cabin 10. The story starts with journalist Lo Blacklock waking to find her flat being burgled. This of course leaves her unsettled and paranoid and when the perfect assignment comes up a week later of 7 nights of luxury on an exclusive cruise ship she think it could only do her good to get away. However on board she's witness to a woman being thrown overboard... the only problem - all guests are accounted for. As the cruise carries on with it's journey as nothing has happened Lo tries to seek out the truth and I'm sure while questioning her sanity. Having also read the preview on Amazon this really looks like a page turner of a book!

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
£3.85 (paperback) Amazon here
From time to time I love a good YA fiction even if I'm nearing 30! Filled with emotion and often unique subject matters I always find them interesting and refreshing to read. This YA looks no different as it's part love story, part coming-of-age story with one huge problem, protagonist Madaline suffers from a rare condition that makes her allergic to literally everything. The book is also broken up with pictures, emails and IM messages which is aimed at younger readers but I always find that adds a more real element to the story. One for YA fans for sure.

hidden-bodies-summer-read

Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes
£3.85 (paperback) Amazon here
On to a book that couldn't be farther from YA fiction. This is the follow-up to 'You' (Amazon here) a dark and twisted tale of a book store owner come psychopathic murderer which I would suggest you read first. Now moved on from his last employee and obsession he has a new love and one that shares his love of literature. Expect bad language and lots of adult content with both books. But trust me 'You' is pretty damn gripping.

Ctrl, Alt; Delete: How I Grew Up Online by Emma Gannon
£9.09 (paperback) Amazon here
Shamefully before Ctrl, Alt; Delete came out I hadn't heard of Emma Gannon or her blog however that really didn't matter as from just reading the book description I knew she'd created an incredibly relatable book for anyone that grew up in the 90's/00's and spent most of their time online. That was certainly me and with tales of MySpace and the antics of MSN I'm really looking forward to what I imagine to be a pretty hilarious and nostalgic read. The book also has a girl boss vibe to it talking about careers that can lead on from growing up online and internet trolls. This looks a light but interest read. Emma also have a podcast by the same name as her book which I've really been enjoying recently.

White Flower Artificial Bouquet (18 heads) - 99p HERE
A perfect blogging prop here or if you fancy having year round flowers on your desk. I've bought a few fake bouquets from eBay now and with a trim up of the loose threads they look pretty lovely. Think I will be picking up two bunches to these lovely flowers to use for blog photography.

Rose Gold Lantern Structure String Lights - £11.99 HERE
So these aren't that much of a bargain but I absolutely love them! From the fact that they're rose gold to the lantern shape and being battery operated. These would look lovely anywhere and remind me of something Habitat would do.

Floral Alphabet Typography Art Print (A5) - £2.98 HERE
How lovely is this floral letter print? Perfect for your desk, blog photography or as a gift to a friend or a newborn gift. A4 and A5 sizes available from A to Z.

Tropical Palm Leaf Cushion Covers - £2.89 HERE
Palm print is still majorly on trend and is set to stay for a while longer. I personally love anything tropical and these cushions (in 10 different prints) are perfect and such a bargain! Plus as they're a woven material they can be used as outside scatter cushions as well.

A-Z Bronze Letter Lights (battery operated) - £7.99 HERE
Another favourite find here with these amazing vintage style letter lights at only £7.99 each! Ideal for on a shelf or even the wall as they're battery operated. Slightly pricey to spell out an entire word but as your initials or a single letter then this is a total bargain.

Large Floral Deer Wall Decal - £3.19 HERE
Talking of bargains... how cheap is this beautiful wall decal?! This detailed decal really is stunning and quite a statement for the small price. Perfect for over the bed and ideal for anyone renting as it can be removed without any damage to the wall.

2 x Seagrass Woven Baskets - £4.99 HERE
Lastly I had to include this lovely small storage set that could be used for so many things. I instantly thought the baskets would work well for bath bombs but also next to the bed to hide clutter and night time skincare. Very affordable indeed.

You can find more eBay finds on my new dedicated Pinterest board here

Hope you found a few lovely items,

Candel-Belle-box-review

Ahhh, another wonderful box for July from Candle Belle that I needed to share with you! If you aren't familiar with Candle Belle as a company then you may want to read my first ever post on them here, or just know they are one of the best natural candle brands out there with so many fun and realistically scented wax melts and candles.

The above box, known as the Mega Melt Box is a monthly subscription box where you receive 9 beautifully scented soy wax melts to melt in your own burner for £11.00 per month here or you can pick your own scents with a one off box for £12.50 here - something I highly recommend doing if you are new to the brand and love to burn wax tarts/melts, as it's only a £1.50 extra spend.

Candle-belle-mega-wax-melts

What's in July's Mega Melt Box?

For me this has to be my favourite box so far as it contains 5 scents that are perfect for summer, such as Apple Mango Tango and Summer Berry Blast, but 4 scents that can be carried through to autumn and even winter with scents like Whispering Winds, Chocolate Brownie (OMFG I want to eat this one!) and Twisting Peppermint. A box of wax melts I'll be really enjoying working my way through over the next few months. So below I've ordered the melts in an almost spring/summer to autumn/winter fashion.

Spring Tulips
This melt is exactly like inhaling a bouquet of tulips, it's fresh and natural. Perfect for a freshly tidied home or when you want a refreshing break from stronger scents.

Apple Mango Tango
Another fresh but fruity scent here with a mix of apple, sweet pear and mango. Again one I'd burn during the day with the windows open to enjoy the fresh scent all the way through the house.

Lemongrass
I was unsure of the sound of a lemongrass scent but this is just a true lemon scent that's so uplifting and bright. One to burn in the kitchen or when you're in the happiest of moods! Very summery.

Summer Berry Blast
This is a melt with so many berry layers to it, I can smell cherries, currents and raspberries in this. This makes me think of a summer fruit punch. One to burn after a day in the sun!

Doodlebug
I love these almost secret scented melts that you havent't got a clue what they will smell of. Dooblebug for me is a mix of strong bubblegum and a hint of watermelon and it instantly makes me think of my childhood when I'd get a hard bubblegum sweet in my 50p pic n' mix! Such a fun scent that I'll really enjoy burning.

Whispering Winds
A scent I'm personally unsure about but it's unique none the less. I pick up the scent of freesias and other delicate florals but then it's almost wrapped in a neutral none overpowering mascline scent. I can see this as an autumnal scent so I will be saving it until then to fully decide if I like it or not.

Chocolate Brownie
Oh lordy this is a good one... and one I can't stop sniffing in the tub! This makes me dream of freshly baked chocolate brownie cookies as it's such a rich chocolate-y scent. Perfect for cosy autumn/winter evenings but I know I will be burning this ASAP.

Gingerbread Men
Another total winner for me even though I'm not a huge fan of the actual biscuits. This is warm and inviting and what I imagine gingerbread dough to smell like before it goes into the oven. A warm welcoming scent to burn in winter/Christmas.

Twisting Peppermint
Lastly a truly festive scent that instantly reminds me of sweet minty candy canes. This is subtly minty and sweet, a perfect combination. I will be trying my best to save this until Christmas but may end up burning it and treating myself to the full size candle come December.

P.S You can buy all the melts individually here  for £2.00 each or as mentioned create your own box for £12.50 here! I highly recommend - Raspberry Ripple, Lemon Meringue, Chocolate Brownie and Red Velvet mmm all so good!

So so pleased with this box and think I love Candle Belle even more now!

Losing-two-stone-journey

Over the past 3 months I've managed to lose 2 stone (28lbs) in weight! I've achieved this by good ol' fashioned balanced healthy eating. I've remained eating carbs, takeaways and chocolate and for the first time in my life I can say dieting/my new way of eating hasn't been a struggle!

So today I thought I'd share my tips for anyone that is currently losing weight or to motivate anyone that's thinking of dropping a few pounds.

Just a little summery on my own weight lost journey (I hate that phrase!) - I initially decided to start losing weight after recovering from a Vitamin D deficiency that for months caused me to feel fatigue like I'd never felt it before. Due to feeling so tired my bum was firmly on the sofa or in bed most days and takeaways very much became the norm as I didn't have the energy to cook. So with my size 16 jeans feeling tight and my diet at it's worst I decided to embark on a new balanced way of eating to feel better about myself and to finally get healthy! I still have 1.5-2 stone left to lose which I'm confident I will achieve in 3 to 4 months though I'm not putting any pressure on myself as my main goal is to change my lifestyle for good and become a much healthier, happier person!

Diet - Shmiet
As I mentioned above my aim is to change the way I eat for good and to avoid anything faddy or that I can't keep up long term. To me this isn't a diet but eating how I should be! This means nothing is restricted, especially carbs such as white potatoes which I have with evening meals when I feel like it. However I do opt for complex carbs as well, because they virtually taste the same, so whole gain rice and pasta, oatmeal and sweet potatoes. The same goes for treats, I still have them and will forever love Maltesers but I opt for the correct portion size now. As I'm seeing this more of a lifestyle change for good I also decided not to track my calories and eat intuitively instead and expect that some weeks I won't lose weight. I think it's all about balance and making it as easy as possible for yourself because changing the amount and way you eat if hard enough without throwing rules and even more restrictions into the mix!

Find filling foods
Over the years I've tried multiple diets (and failed!) and though they've all been different they've had a theme; I was hungry a lot of the time. Yes, hunger can lead to weight loss but it's far from healthy and ultimately leads to binging or giving up and really should be avoided. So my main aim to combat feeling hungry is to have filling meals and to eat fruit the rest of the time before reaching for a processed snacks. Everyone will be different but what fills me up and satisfies me the most is complex carbs, so porridge in the morning and rice or potatoes with most evening meals. I also try to eat as much protein as I can so will often have two poached or fried eggs (cooked in coconut oil) with breakfast or lunch, fat-free Greek yogurt sweetened with honey and fruit as a snack or dessert and lots of lean meats. If you are hungry you are much more likely to over eat at meal times or eventually reach for something high in fat or sugar!

Don't be hard on yourself
In general I believe we are all too hard and critical of ourselves, especially when it comes to losing weight! Of course tough love may work for you but I think understanding that losing weight is a huge task and there will be weeks you don't do so well can actually motivate you more than regretting and feeling guilty for a weekend of bad eating. The same goes for if you lose a pound in a week, it shows you are going in the right direction and you 100% should be pleased with yourself! It's all about positivity and self love I believe!
