In recent years there's been a surge of love for eyeshadow palette which has essentially fazed out the need to buy single compact eyeshadows. There's without a doubt less single options around and I know I personally only ever pick up single eyeshadows when they are extra special or in pan form to add into a custom palette.

However, I've recently come across a new and improved single eyeshadow range that is not only spectacularly pigmented but costs only £1.50! They also come with the cutest seasonal shade names, such as Gingerbread, Cinnamon and Pecan.

Read below to find out where you can pick up these amazing budget eyeshadows along with some swoon-worthy swatches!
Only a few days ago I was sharing with you an amazing priced limited edition beauty box from Cult Beauty (sadly sold out now). But it seems like there is another amazing box that has just launched that I couldn't resist telling you about!

This collaboration box with Pixiwoo (Sam & Nic Chapman) is something I've hoped would happen for years and finally it's here and amazingly doesn't break that bank at only £28 even though it includes some amazing products worth £80+! Read below to find out exactly what you receive and where to get it.

Around this time of year, as the leaves begin to fall and there's a pleasant chill in the air, I find myself naturally changing up the makeup products I use. From deeper shades on my eyes to different tones on my nails.

So I thought I'd run down the products I'm purposefully changing up in my makeup bag this autumn/winter in hope to give a little makeup inspiration. I also kind of love talking autumn makeup in general!

It's not often I feel the need to sit down and write an impromptu post, but as soon as I saw this amazing beauty bundle launch on Cult Beauty just today not only did I snap it up for myself but I knew I have to share it with you too!

This post contains affiliate links.

Whether you are into beauty boxes or not, this Cult Beauty Starter Kit is a collection of amazing products for only £30 but with a worth of over £100, plus free shipping!

Find out below all you need to know about the contents of this amazing kit and why I bought it for myself... other than it being an amazing saving, obvs!

There is no denying makeup launches are coming thick and fast these days and with Christmas on the way it literally seems impossible to keep up and know what's worth buying and what isn't. Yes, choice is an amazing thing but I can't help but feel over faced at times with the rate of new makeup releases from even my most favourite brands, such as Charlotte Tilbury, Makeup Revolution and all their spin-off brands and Too Faced to name but a few.

Basically, I've been going through New Makeup Release Fatigue! Seeing everything but not buying anything because, arghhhh, why so much?!

Thankfully I've got myself out of this head funk and so I wanted to share what I've done to combat it. So that if you are feeling the same as we are bombarded with new makeup launches and Christmas gift sets you can see the wood for the trees and buy like it's 2005 again! Bare with me, I know this all sounds a bit of a ramble but I feel I have a point to make with this post!

Over the years I've picked up quite a few makeup tips and tricks that I use every time I apply makeup. I've found simple makeup tips to generally be most effective, and they is really are a few gems!

So today I wanted to share with you the best easy makeup tips that I personally recommend trying out. From how to perfectly blend eyeshadow to creating a smooth eyeliner flick every time, I really hope you pick up a few things here!

This is a paid collaboration with Coco & Eve however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

When it comes to self tan, I'll be honest, I've always been weary. With pale skin, previously used fake tan in the form of sprays, oils and even gradual lotions have always left me with streaks and visible darkening on my hands and feet; the biggest give away your tan isn't natural in my opinion!

But with a pre-existing love for Coco & Eve (you read my rave review about their fabulous hair mask here) I jumped at the chance to try their brand new Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam; The world's first anti-ageing and anti-cellulite self tan with zero nasties AND the promise of no streaks and no bad smell! Oh, and it's of course cruelty-free & 100% vegan!

While the saying "less is more" can be applied to a lot of things, when it comes to beauty products bigger often seems better. After all, you are getting more bang for your buck, right?

But sometimes we begrudgingly buy smaller products to find out that actually a little does go a long way or that smaller can actually mean mighter. So in praise of the small beauty products that have stood tall above other more sizable products I wanted to dedicate an entire post to them.

So here are six small but mighty beauty products I highly recommend...

Don't get me wrong I love a good impulse beauty buy, who doesn't? But there's been times I've bought some pretty useless products and within a few uses I'm left wondering why I ever thought it would be good. Of course, I've also been sent some questionable makeup products and accessories that simply don't make it onto the blog because while I don't mind giving a balanced review I never enjoy slating a product.

However, I decided without naming any names or highlighting any specific products I would go through what I believe to be the top 5 most pointless beauty products on the market today. As this may get a little ranty please feel free to join me in the comments and add to the list if you can think of any more products that frankly deserve the bin!

When it comes to reviewing beauty boxes I'm fully aware sample sizes, niche brands and random extras such as compact mirrors and makeup sponge wedges simply don't cut it anymore.

We want to know the contents of the beauty box we are buying and we want it to be worth the money! So with this in mind, I don't feature or talk about many beauty boxes these days!

However, when I was introduced to Cosmetips influencer created beauty boxes I was pretty impressed and as I hadn't heard of them before I wanted to share their latest box and its contents with you today. Side note: This is one of the more higher priced boxes however it does come with a massive saving & if like me you have been wanting to try out something from Tatcha, then now is the perfect time with this amazing beauty box.

While beauty launches are an everyday occurrence I'm not often that excited about multiple product launches at any one time. But it seems September is the month for them!

So I thought I'd indulge myself and simply talk new makeup with you today, from new to the UK skincare to a grown-up Disney makeup collab (finally!).

But be warned... it's a little eyeshadow palette heavy!

Spending on beauty when you already have a cosmetic bag full of makeup can be a luxury affair. Even a 5-minute trip into Boots to stock up on 'essentials' can be a costly these days! Which is why I personally love to seek out bargains where I can, especially when they don't scrimp on quality!

Below I have listed five of my favourite affordable beauty products that definitely don't scrimp on quality both in their formulas and packaging. And to the end of this budget-friendly post, you will find a round-up of my favourite beauty & skincare brands that seem to constantly produce high-quality products as low prices.

new-in-beauty-august-2018

If you're a long time reader around here then you will know 'new in' posts don't appear all too often. The reason... 1) I feel there are beauty bloggers more on the pulse than I, namely British Beauty Blogger and Really Ree, and 2) It's not often a whole bunch of new releases catch my attention all at once!

However, over the past few weeks I've been adding to my 'to buy' list ever more to the point I felt like writing a 'new-in/wish list' type post. For the most part, everything here, bar two products, is budget-friendly so if anything does catch your eye it won't hurt your bank balance.

Having been a beauty blogger for the past 8 years I feel my staple beauty favourites are something I often neglect to talk about. While in reality I know they should the thing I talk about most - they are after all the products I've been repurchasing and loving for years!

So today I thought I would sit down, gather all my favourite beauty staples around me and finally talk about them and generally sing their praises, circa 2012 style.

After packing for a little break away with my boyfriend is still fresh in my mind and it is summer, after all, I thought I share with you the beauty products seriously worth picking up to pack for your next vacation and enjoy using the rest of the time!

Below, you will find travel size products that not only save space in an overnight bag or suitcase but also work well as products in your makeup bag in their own right. From miniature versions of some cult classics to some seriously lust-worthy palettes for both home and away use.

Call it the UK heatwave or the fact I've been in a bit of a slump lately, but for the past two months I have probably worn the least amount of makeup since my teenage years.

Not only has this taught me to be more comfortable in my own skin, but my skin has felt better for it and on the days I do want to wear makeup I've found myself reaching for much fewer products with lighter textures and an overall fresher feel.

Below I think there are an interesting mix of beauty products that while having a juxtaposition about them actually work well together - think a low-maintenance high end look!

The thing about mascara is we don't often talk about the application technique behind it, we just kinda' brush it on.

Most of the time it looks good, but then there are the times even your favourite mascara can make your eyelashes look short and clumpy, or worst still you hurt your eye as you are wiggling the brush ever closer to the base of your lashes and your eye does that awful rolling to the back of your head in pain thing, please tell me that's not just me?

Is there such a thing as the perfect mascara application? Or is it just personal choice on how you best like to apply it? For me, I realised I was applying mascara in several different ways, dependant on... well nothing, really. It was more of a case of wiggling it at the base of my roots sometimes, then brushing it through on other occasions, because I never really took much thought to it or knew which way gave the best results. But then a few weeks ago after using the technique I want to share today (see below) and getting flawless clump-free eyelashes from with it, I thought why don't I do this every time? While it's nothing revolutionary or even something you won't have seen before it's pretty foolproof and for me gives the best results whatever type of mascara I go for.

While the interest is awash with beauty and skincare advise I often find entering a beauty related question/dilemma into Google more than likely throws up widely varying results and suggestions these days! Basically to the point of not knowing which source to trust or which advise to go with.

Which is how this post has come to be! Of course, this isn't much of a '101' type post as all, oops, but more of a look at a few common beauty problems that I feel I have knowledge in and can give my own advise on. From mastering winged liner to tacking oily but dry skin, I may just have the answers you have been looking for.

When summer hits I find I'm an all or nothing kinda' gal; bare-faced (i.e my 5-minute makeup routine) or seeking out bold pigmented makeup that glows in the sun. While bold coral makeup may seem daunting to some it suits all skin tones, looking fresh and summer suitable every time.

Below I have five fairly new coral makeup products perfect for summer that I hope you love just as much as I do!

Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions Palette
£25.00 Cult Beauty HERE
While Huda Beauty palettes are normally supersized the Obsessions range packs 3x3 ultra pigmented eyeshadows into something much more compact and travel-friendly. Although I'm fairly late to the game when it comes to Huda I'm currently obsessed with the Coral Obsessions palette, a slimeline edit of orange, red and yellow-hues to create the prettiest summer eye looks with. Easy to work with the seven matte shades do not disappoint, offering rich pigmentation and the ability to blend with little effort. However for me the stars of the show that really transform any look as the two shimmers to the palette that gives a foil-like finish and feel beyond buttery, both coral shades also have beautiful undertones to them!

For me, this truly is my new go-to palette for summer, whether it's for a wash of matte coral over my lids or something much more dramatic. I can't see how anyone that would be disappointed with this beauty!

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Vivid Swirl Blush in Papaya
From £.7.20 via eBay HERE
Described as a "vibrant coral" this stunning powder blush compact has just made its way into my summer makeup bag. Think a brightening pinky coral that lifts any makeup look, however, a light hand is required as it does pack some punch. It also offers a light sheen which is perfect for placing higher up on the cheeks to give a flush of colour with a slight radiant glow. This is a blusher made for summer evenings.

Benefit GALifornia Blusher
£25.50 from Feel Unique HERE
Another stunning blusher I couldn't not include and have raved about many times on Makeup Savvy is GALifornia which is a beautiful golden pinky coral shade. This is a makeup product that goes back into my makeup as soon as Spring hits so for a while now I'm been loving it again. From the packaging to the mini brush, the texture and even the vanilla scent I can't get enough of this summer-perfect blush. Oh, and it works amazingly well on the eyes too!

Glossier Cloud Paint Cream Brush in Beam
£15 from Glossier UK HERE
For lighter makeup days only weightless liquid formulas will do, and so Glossier Cloud Paint is often reached for on lazy summer days as it's the lightest flush of colour you can imagine. Patted and lightly blending into the skin this coral-peach watercolour-like blush is effortless and natural but can also be built up - it's up to you and the makeup you are going for. This is also a good option for longer makeup days as I find it stays put, looking fresh even when you aren't!

Can you tell I love a coral blush come this time of year?!

Hourglass Confession Ultra Slim High-Intensity Refillable Lipstick in 'No One Knows'
£28.00 from Cult Beauty HERE
With Hourglass just launching on Cult Beauty (my favourite place for more premium makeup!) I thought I'd share with you stunning warm coral lipstick in a cream finish from the beautiful Confession range! With such a price tag you know I expect quite a lot from a product and this certainly delivers on both quality (that sleek gold applicator!) and wearability, looking stunning on the lips and lasting well. On fair skin tones, 'No One Knows' is a wearable pigmented coral nude, going more coral in tone for the darker your skin, just gorgeous. It's also good to know that the refills can be picked up for £18.00! A very special feeling lipstick here.

Let me know your favourite coral makeup picks here and your own if you love summer coral makeup products just as much as I do!

Fee xo.
