Aldi is renowned for its beauty and skincare dupes and savings so just last week I wondering if this year they have launched any Beauty Gift Sets for Christmas so I heading in-store and low and behold they did - with much more new gifts than I expected!
Side note: This post isn't sponsored... I just love shopping at Aldi!

Last year I created my first ever eBay Christmas Gift Guide and not only did I love finding the best gift ideas for you, but the post also got a good response. So I'm bringing The Ultimate eBay Christmas Gift Guide back for 2019!
Below you will find gift ideas from only UK sellers with free delivery. When I can I've kept everything as budget-friendly as possible with nothing over £15. I really hope you find a few gifts here as I personally shop on eBay for Christmas presents and it means I grab a bargain while also picking up items that you wouldn't necessarily find in shops.

Makeup gift sets make amazing gifts to give come Christmas and Birthday's but I've found I actually pick up quite a few for myself when the save in there. Of course, this happens in the Boxing Day sales but I always have my eyes peeled the rest of the time.
In the past, I've picked up some amazing value beauty gift sets along with skincare sets that have allowed me to discover more from brands I love or simply offer such a good saving I can't refuse them. Also, there are times when I'm planning on picking up a product but it's actually more worth picking up the product in a gift set for a little extra.
So this week I wanted to share with you the best value makeup gift sets for 2019. Granted there will be lots of new gift sets launched towards the end of the year in time for Christmas but you will find most of the mentioned gift sets here are either on sale or simply amazing value.
At £12 this beautiful Neom set shows incredible value for money for what technically is a luxury and organic gift.
The Neom Complete Bliss: Handbag Essentials Set consists of - Organic Moroccan Blush Rose Hand Lotion (60ml) and Organic Sweet Orange & Ginger Multi Balm (14g) and has really impressed me on the value and luxury front, which is why I wanted to write about it so much. Plus I think it would make for a perfect Mother Day present as the are a choice of three sets which come beautifully presented with there own posh gift bag (see pic below)!
The Multi balm is my new favourite luxury handbag item... but I will come to that later.
Moroccan Blush Rose Organic Hand Lotion
I actually visited Morocco a few years ago now and all the rose skincare products smelt exactly like this - it's definitely a scent that is very different from the traditional soft rose scent. It's more heady and almost herbal/lavender based. The lotion itself is great as it's neither a milk or a thick lotion - just somewhere in the middle that makes for a non-sticky, easy to use hand cream which sinks into the skin nice and quickly.
Has it actually made my hands softer? I'd actually say yes and more noticeably on the backs of my hands. As for the packaging it's very slimline and chic as you can see...with it's only downside being that the pump doesn't feature a lock, so maybe not safe enough for the handbag... which is a shame as it is light enough to carry around with you and it does after all come in a handbag essentials set.
95% certified organic ingredients and 5% natural ingredients
I am truly in love with this product for some many reasons. Firstly it reminds me of the type of product you would see in the likes of Space NK most likely to be stupidly priced at £25 or so as it's so heavy and luxurious looking. But of course it's not, as it actually works out at only £6. Secondly you get an amazing 14g of product and thirdly the product is just really, really beautiful.
The product as it says is a multi use balm - which means it can be used as a lip balm, a cuticle oil or on any dry patches of skin you may have. The scent is light and citrus with a hint of ginger, just nothing over powering which I'm quite pleased about.
As I don't really tend to get dry skin, I have been using this on my lips and nails (in place of my Ciate Love Me Oil) as a night treatment. For my nails I just rub my finger on top of the balm and rub the light oil into my cuticles - as the balm is so light and not thick or greasy is isn't something that you really need to rub in to carry on what you are doing. It just soaks into the skin and your done. I'd have to say this is working alot better for me than the Ciate Oil I have been using for over 6 months now... but you will have to tell me what you think when you see my fingers in an upcoming nail post!
As for using it as a lip balm - I've found it abit odd, but it definitely works. You see I apply quite a lot of this onto my lips but it's still feels really light and just oily...but within 5-10 minutes or so it's totally soaked in and my lips feel like I haven't even applied the balm. But I wake up with soft lips! So it's definitely working as a lip balm but I'm just not use to the non-gloopy/thick formula.
All in all a totally beautiful product that you will want to get out of your handbag!

Now as I love this set so much I'm actually going to give the Really Luxury:Handbag Essentials Set (which comes with a different scented hand lotion and in a different box) as a gift to my own mother for Mother's Day (April 3rd).
Gift wrapping is £1.50 at Neom but I actually like wrapping gifts plus it means I can show you all what it looks like. So I'm thinking of wrapping it in some nice gold/ivory paper and using the straw like packaging that comes with the product to protect it in the nice gift bag above!
Beautiful & savvy I'm thinking.
I think from a luxury brand that sells there Ultimate Candles at £150, this is such an affordable yet beautiful treat or present!
Next I'm going to review the Caudelie Travel Set that's a bargain at £8 I think, but feel free to suggest any gift sets under £15!
So George at Asda have decided to lower the price of some of there existing makeup products for Christmas and also box them...which to be honest is a really great move. Even though there prices are quite low anyway but making them packaged means these would be great to give as a gift or at only £3 keep for yourself!
The first change is to the Shimmer me! palette...down from £4.50 to £3 and packaged in a Benefit/the Balm type sleeve. The palette comes in three different colour variations depending on your skin tone (Cherub, Angel and Halo).
Cherub Shimmer Me! Shimmering Brush-on Powder £3.00
Other than the catch snapping off and cutting my finger, I love this product!
The packaging suggests this can be use individually as a brow highlight, eyeshadow or used with a fluffy brush for an all over glow/bronzer.
I'd say 'Cherub' is the most blusher like palette out of the three to pick from..the other two being more bronzer based.
I have to say I've been loving all the shades mixed together, the golden tones to it are really lovely (which hopefully I've captured in the swatch below) and catch the light beautifully on the tops of the cheekbones - however it would of been handy if the second shade was down at the bottom so that you could miss it out if you wanted just a flushed glowey look.
As for using these as eyeshadows I think both the 2nd and 4th shade work perfectly well as eyeshadows.
Ignoring the cheap price and just focusing on just the product I think this is very comparable to the blushers & bronzers by Sleek and Barry M. Just really pigmented, soft and basically lovely.
George Under Eye Concealer Pen £3.00
For £3 I think this is amazing value for money as alot of the highstreet versions of the highly rated Touche Eclat cost around £6-8.
The concealer itself it is quite yellow toned - so great for dark shadows (also good for hiding any blue/red veins on the eyelids) it also gives good coverage... however my only critisism would be that if does have quite a strange smell to it. Almost a lemony scent that's just abit odd! But definitely something I've got over.

Swatch in Shade 02 Medium |
As for the consistency it's actually really nice, almost hydrating and non-cakey and leaves the skin around the eyes not feeling heavy so I'm sure it would work well with all skin types. This also works well on spots and blemishes if you are looking for more of a sheer coverage than a normal concealer.
All in all this is a good coverage concealer pen that's worth £3 of any ones money!
I really hope this is a glimpse of great things to come from George Makeup!

Mother's Day is approaching and so I thought it would be nice to show a few gift ideas some beauty ideas and some unrelated gifts.
My all time favourite website for gifts is bloom.uk.com, they sell silk flower arrangements by mail and as you can see from the images they look amazingly real, the detail on each flower is so accurate, they also come with there vases already arranged which I love.

Prices do really vary from as small as £15.00 for a small arrangement to £250.00 for large centrepiecies.

Salt Scrubs are another nice idea as a gift...they normally come in a large glass jar, smell divine and look lovely on the edge of the bath, also it is ideal for someone that isn't in there 20's anymore. It really does exfoliate the skin wonderfully and it that little bit harsher than normal body scrubs, however this won't break the bank or offend your poor mother like an anti-aging cream would!

I just had to include these, mainly for the price as you may be able to get Champagne truffles a bit cheaper than this but not much less and Charbonnel et Walker is quite a high end brand so there really is no compromise on quality and packaging.

(Pretty in Pink Goody Bag - Hotel Chocolat £18.00)
I couldn't write this post without mentioning Hotel Chocolat. Think a more chic version of Thorntons with an interesting twist and you will be half way there to what Hotel Chocolat is actually like. Any of there products make great gifts however they seem to excel at Easter and Mothers Day. They always have wonderful giftsets.

You could also make up your own giftset - I highly recommend the wonderfully detailed engraved chocolate hearts and there giant chocolate slabs especially the marbled praline slab.
I really hope you have enjoyed reading this post and hopefully if you haven't bought anything for Mothers day already, this will have given you some ideas.
